The institution has a full-fledged placement centre for career guidance and full assistance for job and placement. The placement cell consisting of faculty and student members will act as a channel of communication with our recruiters and create a platform for recruitment and summer placements (SIP-Summer Internship Programme). AIMS also musters the support from Govt. agencies for Skill Development & Employment to seek career opportunities.
We ensure that our students are provided with an ample opportunity to learn from the corporate world through unique mentorship programme. Through an excellent mix of highly qualified faculty and unique teaching methodology, we ensure that our students are well prepared to step into this volatile and dynamic corporate world and occupy positions of stature. AIMS, believes in industry exposure with inputs of academics that ensure students' all round development. Guest lectures, seminars, industry interaction give students a chance to experience a corporate feel; it increases student's ability to learn latest management practices.

AIMS has independent, separate, full fledge and strong Centre for Student Development (ACSD), it provides platforms and numerous opportunities to groom students and to bridge the gap between the Academia and Corporate world. As a matter of fact AIMS has very resourceful networking with industry, based on its feedback and inputs talks, the entire ‘Training and Placement’ activities are designed, so that students at Institute itself get ready to handle the industrial assignments. Such kind of industrial culture at Institute level generates lot of mettle among student to face the business and industrial challenges as well as to achieve desired career objectives.
Students are shaped, groomed by virtue of various components of the Pre-Placement Training Programs viz, on Current Affairs, General Aptitude, Technical Aptitude, Skills on Presentation, Group Discussion, Debate, Interviews and Mock Interviews, Industrial Analytics Workshops, psychometric testing etc., are in house at AIMS.
AIMS indeed provides both on campus and off campus placement drive to all students as per its policies.
With our networking AIMS ascertain vacancies from companies in various departments with ‘Job Description’ in the month of March every year. The same is formulized by initiating a meeting of the placement committee and notification follows for the pre and post interview process.
Some of the vacancies either from the placement consultancy or companies in the odd time. We do competency mapping as per the requirement from the database and shortlisted students will be notified to complete the process. And entire process will be monitored by the AIMS Centre for Student Development (ACSD) with proper coordination.
|1.||Pre-Placement introduction Talk is organized detailing the company’s information, job details, compensation offer and other process.|
|2.||Once the student appears for the process, the student cannot reject the offer made by the company.|
|3.||Incase if a company has a specific requirement / request, the recruitment committee has all the rights to nominate a set / individual student(s) and it is mandatory that student/s has to attend the interview. In case selected and an offer is made, then student is free to decide about the same.|
|4.||A company is free to make their choice of students irrespective of their specialization.|
|5.||Preferably, Pre-Placement Offer to summer trainees are to be made much before Day 1 and the student must decide on the offer within 24 hours of getting the offer.|
|6.||If the Pre-Placement Offer is accepted, the student will have to opt out of the institute placement process. However, a student with pending Pre-Placement Interview Offer is eligible to participate in the placement process.|
|7.||Any student who does not clear the Group Discussion stage for 3 companies or the Personal Interview stage for 2 companies shall not be allowed to appear for the placement till the whole batch is placed.|
|8.||The Director of AIMS shall decide on slots for companies. No company will be allowed to make offers before the slotted day and time.|
|9.||If, for any reason, a company wants to conduct its process before the slotted day and time they are free to do so but they shall make the final offer on the day the company is slotted. However, the companies coming before their assigned day and time cannot make spot offers.|
|10.||In case a student who is placed through the institute placement process takes up private placement as well in another company, the Director, in consultation with the companies concerned, shall nullify both the offers|
|11.||The appointment letter(s) will be in the custody of the Director and will be handed over after he/she has been deemed to have cleared the entire course and also after he / she has no dues towards the institute. Non-compliance shall withhold the appointment letter and company is free to recruit another candidate to replace.|
|12.||All correspondence to and from the company will be routed through the Director and Placement cell only.|
|1.||If students have not cleared the tuition fee dues and/ or attendance less than 80%.|
|2.||Students who fail to achieve 90 attendance targets in pre placement training activities.|
|3.||Student registers to attend interview and on the day of interview doesn't turn up|
|4.||Student attends 5 interviews of his choice and still fails to clear.|
|5.||Any kind of misbehavior/indiscipline by the student during the interview process.|
|6.||Ineligible student will be placed only after all the students are placed. Debarred students will be considered for placement again based on their improved performance and meeting the other criteria's as approved by the recruitment committee.|
|7.||Institute can stop a student from attending the interviews if they have dues of more than one semester. Institute has every right to allow a student to attend the interview if there is a genuine case with substantial evidence.|

I know AIMS, Baramati and the faculty members from last many years. During my own visit as a Guest Speaker on various occasions or the Institute’s visit to Baramati Hitech Textile Park, I always find the students and teachers to be highly inquisitive and academically inclined to learn new things.
